"Through a Window" by Thea Neufeldt Armstrong
December 7, 2018 / art, photography
When I was in Paris, I sometimes felt like I was an outsider looking in. I speak the language very little, and found I encountered barriers quite often. As the days went on though, I became more comfortable as a guest within these barriers, a temporary migrant like many of the people around me, belonging in the very nature of being a visitor. My fresh eyes took in the city so much more this way, when I began to embrace the beauty of being an onlooker. At the end of it, I'm a tourist - I embraced seeing the city through camera lens, through window. I'm happy and grateful to look through!
