Cherry Glazerr has truly blossomed. It is very interesting to see how Clem has transitioned as an artist throughout the years. I like to compare it to my own growth since I first saw her open up for King Tuff at Crescent Ballroom back in high school. It makes me think about the evolution of an artist and their audience; they grow together.
Clem emphasizes performance, not appearance. She is a bold, independent artist who uses her following as a tool to talk about societal issues from a feminist standpoint. She conveys her beliefs through her music.
I saw familiar faces pop out of a sea of moshing fans, though they eventually got swallowed back in. |
I sat on the steps leading up to the stage. The setlist is scotch taped to a wall in my kitchen. No one else had a chance of getting it, although, they tried. |
Cherry Glazerr did not close with the usual “Sweaty Kids,” but enough people were swimming upstream to jump off stage. |
