To bring May to a close, we asked photographer Larson Rogers to create a playlist for us.
"I wanted to feature songs that I find myself listening to every summer no matter what. Most of these songs have been a constant repeat for me since my sophomore year of high school. They remind me of quiet summer nights when you’re driving around during blue time with your windows rolled down, or staying up late and opening the windows in your room so you can feel the warm breeze blow through and hear the buzz of the cicadas in the trees. I feel like those are my happy places and for me these songs always take me there."

In the month of April we had lots of submissions ranging from photo sets to interviews to poetry to playlists, and we loved each one! This upcoming month we have a multitude of photo submissions as well as another new playlist. We always love to see your photo diaries, journal entries, art pieces, short films, pieces of writing, playlists etc. as long as it is art and/or music related. Whatever medium you are inspired to create with we would love to share it with our readers and we are always accepting submissions, so don’t be afraid to share (dissolvingfilmmagazine@gmail.com)!
We wish you all the best with finals or whatever you have going on this month.
Love,
Zoë Bridgwater + Zoey Martinez (zb + zm)
zb and zm's monthly playlists
To bring each month to a close, we, the co-creators of Dissolving Film, will each publish a playlist that is composed of our favorite songs from that month.
“This month I was inspired by the fact that school is wrapping up and selected songs that make me excited for summer (and the rush of excitement and warmth that comes with it)." - Zoë Bridgwater (zb)

For some this means the end of school and for others it means that they are near the end. If the later is you, end the year strong! You got this! It's very tempting to just give up and become lazy but try to keep doing your best. Looking back you will be very thankful that you put your all into this last stretch.
As always, we would love to see all of your awesome creations in any art or music medium--just email us: dissolvingfilmmagazine@gmail.com!
Thank you for all of the nice comments and feedback. We could not run this mag without you so THANK YOU!
Love,
Zoë Bridgwater + Zoey Martinez (zb + zm)
